SKRL has developed the technology to simply and efficiently mold conductive bi-polar plates (BPP's) for proton-exchange membrane (PEM) style fuel cells. SKRL produces blank plates as well as plates with grooved patterns from vinyl ester, epoxy, and phenolic resin-based materials. SKRL has produced blank plates as well as plates bearing the grooved patterns shown below from vinyl ester, epoxy, and phenolic resin-based materials. SKRL is currently supplying plates similar to these to several companies that are developing fuel cells of various capacities. SKRL's rapid tooling and efficient production capabilities will allow it the flexibility to expand with this market as fuel cells develop and become viable alternatives to more traditional sources of power.
